Case Study: Loacker

 

SITUATION:
Loacker is a 90-year company making wafer and chocolate treats that are distributed in more than 100 countries. In 2013 Loacker committed to expansion within the U.S. market, and named PM+CO as their marketing and advertising agency for U.S. operations.

CHALLENGE:
The challenge was that while Loacker was well known in the rest of the world, Loacker was virtually unknown in this market (12%).

RESULTS:
Starting in the Northeastern region, PM+CO positioned Loacker as #1 in Italy and rolled out the PURE campaign using an all media strategy that included print, digital, social and experiential marketing and promotion, including sampling. In the first 6 months brand awareness rose 38% followed by sales growth from $1 million to $12.5 million in 2015.
